About Me

Hi, my name is Robyn. I have a background of over 20 years in teaching and working with children. The name I chose for my business “Robyn’s Playhouse” holds a special place in my heart because starting at the age of seven, I played “teacher” in the playhouse that my dad built for me in our yard. Also, when I was only eight years old, my nephew was born and I became an Aunt for the first time. This was such a blessing to me because it helped kick-start my love for teaching and childcare very early on. My official work experience started at the age of 17 when I had the opportunity to teach swim lessons. After only a month, I was offered the director position, and in that job my love for teaching and helping others grew exponentially. From there I attended college at CSU Chico, starting with a business degree, but quickly switched to Child Development. I graduated from Chico State with a BA in Child Development, and throughout my time in college worked at an after-school program; this is where I learned to operate a childcare care facility.
